SKETCH WITH ME- EPISODE #2: BRIDAL STYLE
Well hello again my fellow creative geniuses! I hope you are enjoying the first week of June so far! Despite the fact that summer officially begins on June 21st, I have been avoiding the heat and endless rain here in Atlanta! Sorry summer lovers, I am a true "Fall baby" at heart and love snuggling up in warm sweaters drinking Pumpkin Spice Lattes while watching rerun episodes of Law and Order SVU. Please don't judge me! Anywho, this week I have a special treat for you all and all I can say right now is that I have been behind the scenes working on several new projects in which I will share in detail on here in a couple of days that I think you may be interested in so stay tuned!
For this week's Sketch with me post, I am working on a digital magazine cover for a publication established by make-up artist and beauty blogger Kelly Nicole. Her current blog, Miss Nic's Elegant Edge, is currently going through an exciting re-branding phase, and will soon relaunch as "Beauty By Kelly Nicole", which will focus primarily on all things hair and beauty. The cool thing is she hired me based on the book cover I created for my first book: The Fashion Designer's Ultimate Quick-Step Guide to Photoshop & Digital Painting" which is now on sale by the way, so check it out! Needless to say, I was so excited about this collaborative project, because I am a self-professed beauty junkie myself! I mean who doesn't feel like jumping for joy and squealing like a kid on Christmas when entering a Sephora store?
So the magazine is titled BLUSHED., and its sole focus is to take the reader on a one-of-a-kind luxury beauty experience, while offering great beauty advice and recommendations on the best products for your skin type, desired look inspirations, and of course service offerings from the pro herself! I think what is even cooler, (yes I said and meant cooler), is that she created this magazine for free! The first issue is all based on Bridal Beauty, so it gives a thorough break-down of what Brides and Future brides like myself (Whenever prince charming decides to arrive in my life so my mom can stop asking me when will I get married -_-) should expect to plan for the wedding day. I decided to create a bohemian-style bride because, well I simply love a boho bride! Its fun, easy, and simple. Watch the transformation below:
So what did you think? Drop a line in the comments below, and let me know your thoughts! Are you a bride to be? If so, how would you define your bridal style? I will post the final magazine cover in a few days, but I must say I had a lot of fun with this one! Oh, and be sure to mosey on down to Kelly Nicole's website, YouTube channel, or simply Subscribe to her list to be the first to grab a copy of BLUSHED. Magazine!
