NYFW | RUNWAY REVIEW | SPRING/SUMMER 2016 | BADGLEY MISCHKA | DELICATE FLOWERS
Hello my lovely people! I cannot believe that there are only a couple more days left for New York Fashion Week! My how time flies when your having fun lusting over the latest runway broadcasts right! So when you hear the name of Badgley Mischka what do you immediately think? For me the answer is glitz and glamour with a sweet feminine touch. I think its safe to assume that my summation is on point as James Mischka explains their style on badgleymischka.com: Our style harks back to the glamorous Hollywood of the Forties. The Badgley Miscka signature style is simple, streamlined, and throughly elegant.
The collection stays true to that vision statement! Compared to the bold runway presentations shown by other esteemed designers, this particular collection was like a refreshing drink after a rich meal. The color palette was aligned with some other collections with that soft champagne/gold, soft creams, white and black. The silhouettes were classic and very sophisticated. I absolutely loved the lace pieces layered over flesh-tone linings, and the black textured ballroom skirt paired with the bronze beaded nude halter. Overall the line up was soft, super romantic, sophisticated, and at times breathtaking. Check out the gallery below, and chime in the comment section below!
